Fundamentals: 1-Day Active Assailant Response Training

Essentials: 2-Day Active Assailant Response Training

The Active Assailant Response Training Program is offered as customized 1-Day, 2-Day, and 3-Day courses for law enforcement agencies, school guardian and safety teams, school faculty and staff, workplaces, houses of worship, and other organizations seeking to improve emergency preparedness.

Through reality-based instruction and non-lethal force-on-force scenarios, participants develop the knowledge, situational awareness, and practical skills needed to respond effectively during an Active Shooter or Active Assailant attack. Training emphasizes defensive and offensive survival principles, rapid decision-making under stress, and the mindset necessary to prevail in life-threatening situations.

The program focuses on the core principles of Avoid-Deny-Defend while teaching participants to recognize threats, make critical decisions under pressure, and apply practical response techniques that strengthen preparedness and improve survivability.

TESTIMONIALS

What others are saying

"Our school district was woefully unprepared "

"Our school district was woefully unprepared to deal with an Active Shooter incident." We did something about it. We trained with GDI Safety in their Active Shooter Response Training program. It was an immersive scenario-based training that was tremendously impactful. It answered the call on addressing violence, and empowered the entire staff and faculty to protect ourselves and the children we are responsible for. We are united against school violence , and now have a safety plan to take immediate action on. My co-workers carry themselves differently. Their mindset is different. Our day-to-day vigilance has positively changed how we think, plan, and move about the campus. Thank you, GDI Safety! "

"Empowered self-confidence that has soared with this training"

"A critically important course for every woman to attend in this day and age. Personal protection is our individual responsibility. Our community of women attended and learned MANY critically valuable lessons that were brought together in a unique reality based training experience. We were all left in a state of empowered self-confidence that has soared with this training!"

"The GDI Active Shooter Response Training program forever changed our ISD's approach to school safety"

"The GDI Active Shooter Response Training program forever changed our ISD's approach to school safety. The scenario-based format wasn’t just informative—it was an intensive experience that transformed us all. Staff and faculty weren’t passive listeners; they were engaged and making real-time decisions under pressure. We were taught about the Fight-or-Flight syndrome and tachy-psych response—how adrenaline and related physiological and psychological effects such as tunnel vision kick in—the instructor gave detailed instruction that helped the class recognize and manage their own reactions. We saw hesitation turn into decisive action to Avoid, Deny, and Defend a violent attack. Now, our emergency plans are backed by muscle memory, not just theory."
